Celebrating Our New Home!
We were honored to be joined by Leslie Morton of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, whose presence marked this milestone as a proud moment not just for our organization, but for the broader Houston community we serve.
We are also deeply grateful to the Regions Foundation for their extraordinary generosity, a $100,000 contribution to Petra Cares that will directly fuel our mission and the work ahead.

A New Home. A Bigger Vision
After years of building, growing, and proving what’s possible, Petra Cares has officially moved from where it all began at Petra Automotive on 11085 Regency Green Drive into our new, dedicated home at Petra Cares Building on 11629 Telge Road. This move is more than a change of address—it’s a bold step forward in our mission of Changing Lives and Generations To Come.
- Our team has dedicated office space
- We now operate within 7,800 square feet designed for growth
- We’ve expanded from one classroom to two
- And from one auto bay to two fully functional bays
This means one thing: we are ready to DOUBLE our impact.
With this new space, we will:
- Launch our Title Clerk & Warranty Clerk program, opening doors to administrative careers in the automotive industry
- Increase from 5 cohorts per year to 10, dramatically expanding the number of young adults we serve
- Create more opportunities for mentorship, volunteering, training, and life transformation
This building represents the first of many steps as we expand our footprint and deepen our impact in the community. We were so excited to welcome Cohort 15 on May 11—our very first class in this new home.
A Record-Breaking Night of Impact
In the midst of moving boxes, setting up classrooms, and preparing for what’s next, we gathered on April 10 for our 3rd Annual Fueling Futures Gala at The Revaire. Surrounded by 500 of our closest friends, donors, sponsors, and supporters, we experienced a night that exceeded anything we could have imagined. Together, we raised over $1 million—a record-breaking milestone for Petra Cares.
Damacio’s story was the heart of the evening.
With courage and honesty, he shared the realities of growing up in foster care—the challenges, the uncertainty, and ultimately, the opportunity he found through Petra Cares. Sitting beside him on that stage was one of the greatest honors I’ve had. His vulnerability gave our guests a rare and deeply personal glimpse into why this work matters so much.
Moments like that don’t just inspire—they move people to action. And clearly, they did.
