Event Volunteer Opportunities
We host two major annual events that require enthusiastic and dependable volunteers:
Fueling Futures Gala – April 10, 2026
- Guest check-in & registration
- Heads & Tails game support
- Silent & live auction assistance
- Photo booth support
- Guest navigation & hospitality
Petra Cares Golf Tournament – October 26, 2026
- Player check-in & registration
- Hole contest setup and monitoring
- Beverage cart support
- Sponsor & team assistance
- Event setup and breakdown
Student Support Opportunities
Homemade Meal Program
- Provide or sponsor homemade lunches for students
- Opportunities for individuals, families, or groups to cook, deliver, and serve
- Stay and connect with students during lunch for encouragement and community
Group Lunch & Learn Visits
- Bring lunch for a cohort and spend time engaging with students
- Share your professional journey, life experiences, and encouragement
Mentorship & Life Skills Development
Life Skills Week Speakers
We are always seeking passionate speakers to pour into our students during Life Skills Week. Topics include:
- Financial literacy & budgeting
- Resume building & interview skills
- Workplace professionalism
- Communication & conflict resolution
- Goal setting & personal growth
This is a powerful opportunity to mentor, inspire, and invest in the next generation.
Graduation Committee (NEW!)
Help us celebrate one of the most important milestones in our students’ journey!
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and coordinating graduation ceremonies (held after each 7-week cohort)
- Organizing décor, food, and program flow
- Coordinating with staff, families, and supporters
- Helping create a meaningful and memorable experience for graduates
Additional Volunteer Opportunities
Career & Industry Exposure
- Host a shop tour or workplace visit
- Provide hands-on demonstrations or career insight sessions
Mock Interviews & Resume Coaching
- Help students practice interviewing skills
- Provide feedback and encouragement
Transportation Support
- Assist with occasional student transportation needs (as available)
Event Committee Participation
- Join a planning committee for gala or golf tournament (great for leadership engagement)
